The developer of the 52-acre Westshore Marina District between Tampa and St. Petersburg has been recognized with awards for projects in Tampa and Orlando by International Property Awards.

BTI Partners, of Fort Lauderdale, won USA Property Awards’ top high-rise development award for Marina Pointe, a 17-story, 120-unit luxury condominium tower within the Westshore Marina District.

The $150 million tower, the first of three high-rise condos being planned there, was designed by Miami architect Kobi Karp Architecture and also features a 150-slip private marina. Construction began in September 2019.

The company also won best mixed-use development in Florida and the U.S. for 2020 for its Marina Landings retail project, also within Westshore Marina District.

Marina Landings retail tenants include Duckweed Urban Market, Sand Surf Co., Cru Cellars wine bar and others.

Both Marina Pointe and Marina Landings are slated for delivery next year.

In Orlando, BTI Partners’ nearly 900-unit Grove Resort & Water Park won best leisure development in Florida and the U.S., as well as mixed-use development project honors.

“Our team is strongly committed to transforming communities with an emphasis on self-sustainability and creating a ‘live, work play’ environment for residents to enjoy,” says BTI Partners’ COO Kevin Mays, in a statement.

In all, the $750 million Westshore Marina District is expected to have more than 1,700 residences at build out and nearly 50,000 square feet of commercial space. The project also will be home to a 1.5-mile waterfront park.

In addition to BTI Partners, WCI Communities, The Related Group and Bainbridge Cos. also have developed residential projects within the community.
