Bank promotes official to VP of lending role

FORT MYERS — Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has promoted Rudi Hamer to vice president, commercial lending officer and commercial relationship manager.

Hamer will be based at of the bank’s Operations Center, 9311 College Parkway, Fort Myers, according to a statement. She’s responsible for originating commercial loans and developing new commercial relationships, the release adds.

Hamer joined the bank in 2017, when she relocated to Southwest Florida from Pennsylvania. She has more than 25 years of commercial and residential lending experience within the banking industry, and also previously worked as a licensed commercial and residential insurance agent. A member of the Blessings in a Backpack, Southwest Florida Chapter board of directors, Hamer has helped raised significant funds for the organization.

“Rudi is an invaluable member of the bank and has become an integral part of our commercial lending team,” says Kyle DeCicco, executive vice president and senior loan officer of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, in the statement. “Rudi brings a high level of professionalism, skill and experience that further strengthens the bank’s commercial lending department.”

The bank employs more than 100 employees, and more than 40% are current shareholders.
