A recent statewide partnership with Publix stores resulted in growing pains for the student-owned and operated Taste of Immokalee food products company based in Immokalee. With the opportunity to stock its sauces and salsas in 240 stores, the B-corp organized to teach business skills to students while benefitting its impoverished community sought the ability to finance the expansion, finding a partner in First Florida Integrity Bank, a supporter of the organization.

“This financing not only ensures our ability to meet the growing demand for our products, but also provides an extraordinary learning opportunity for our student entrepreneurs,” ways Taste of Immokalee Executive Director Marie Capita in a statement.
