Aeromexico will add daily nonstop service from Tampa International Airport to Mexico City, beginning this summer, according to a Monday news release.
"The route is a major win for TPA, which has listed the Mexican capital as one of its top-targeted international destinations for years," airport officials say in a statement. "The connection will benefit both business and leisure travelers, as well as the many Tampa Bay area families with Mexico ties."
The route is expected to generate nearly $70 million per year in economic impact for the Tampa Bay region, TPA officials say.
